Jo,
Hey, nice to see you. I've actually been click-clacking down some hopefully not so dead end streets over on Muggle Matters recently - actually 2 rather long posts that are probably way too in depth on stuff I have been studying this semester, but connected to HP ... if I were going to write an academic book on Potter (probably written from the dark side of the PoMo Lords like Darth Derrida and Darth Lacan et al), this would be the preliminary conceptual work (minus the online styling and jokes about Rowling's recent mentions of chihuahua flatlulance on her site and the like). - some fun way out predictions in comment 21 of the one post (y'know, 3x7 and all that, trying to give it a magical chance of being right :) )
I hope you and your familiy are doing well down there "on the other foot," as it were (was just looking up some stuff in "Magical Beasts and Where to Find them" on the "Antipodean Opal-Eye" dragon, from down-under, as possibly the type of Dragon the trio are riding in the GrandPre cover art of the US Scholastic Deluxe version release of Deathly Hallows)
Nod-ding off East of Eden (translation from Merlin-speak = working midnight shift in the Bronx),
